Business Intelligence Data Systems Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct research, develop, configure, implement, design, and proactively manage Trillium’s Power BI Reporting Platform.

• Evaluate the reporting needs of the organization and assist in formulating a long-term reporting strategy.

• Lead, plan, coordinate, and oversee the development, documentation, and implementation of reporting systems.

• Provide technical assistance regarding system capabilities to Information Technology projects.

• Offer training to IT and Trillium staff as required and directed.

• Design, build, test, deploy, document, and maintain Power BI reporting solutions and semantic models.

• Create SQL queries, data pipelines, and dependent systems that support reporting solutions.

• Evaluate platform capabilities, performance, and governance.

• Research, develop, test, deploy, and document methods and tools for data ingestion, processing, transmission, and sharing.

• Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures, including regular audits, for reporting platforms and computer files.

• Define user roles and access levels for segments of the reporting platform.

• Select, develop, and implement code to monitor the performance of the reporting platform.

• Create reference materials and workflow documentation.

• Update agency data definitions in the data dictionary for reporting and visualizations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree with four (4) years of experience in information technology, data analytics, or reporting development.

• Proficiency in n-tier development and support, including relational and data warehouse development, extract-transform-load processes, and Structured Query Language (SQL).

• Certification is required.

• Two-year degrees must include certification.

• An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

• A valid driver’s license is required.

• Candidates must reside within the United States.

• Preferred qualifications: Degree in Information Technology / MIS, Mathematics (Actuarial/Statistics), Engineering Sciences, Data Analytics, Business, Human Services (such as Psychology, Social Work, etc.), and/or Healthcare Administration.

• Preferred qualifications: One or more Microsoft data systems certifications such as MTA, MCSA, MCSE, ITIL v3, Power BI, along with INFORMS, IIBA, AWS, Azure, or other applicable certifications.
