This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collect, analyze, and document business requirements, process flows, and system enhancements.
• Convert business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Create and execute test cases and test scripts for functional, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Document, monitor, and validate defects and issues utilizing testing or issue-tracking tools.
• Assist in quality assurance test planning, validation, and coordination with development teams and stakeholders.
• Prepare functional documentation, reports, standard operating procedures, training materials, presentations, and user guides.
• Collaborate with developers, government stakeholders, business users, and other project team members to clarify requirements and facilitate solution delivery.
• Work together with stakeholders to identify business needs, document processes, and support system enhancements.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, estimation, and status updates.
• Provide support to the Department of State with business analysis, requirements management, software testing, quality assurance, documentation, and Agile project coordination activities.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in statistics, computer science, mathematics, information technology, business analysis, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
• Proven experience in gathering, analyzing, documenting, and validating business and technical requirements.
• Experience in developing process flows, functional requirements, user stories, and documentation for system enhancements.
• Background in supporting software and system testing, including functional, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Proficient in writing and executing test cases and test scripts.
• Skilled in documenting and tracking defects and issues using testing or issue-tracking tools.
• Experience in supporting quality assurance test planning and validation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments.
• Capability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and fulfill DOS system-access requirements.
• Experience with the Department of State is preferred.
• Prior federal government experience is preferred.
