Business Intelligence Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in constructing, troubleshooting, and maintaining ETL processes.

• Comprehend data structures and schemas across various departments.

• Develop and refine SQL queries while employing additional methods for data ingestion.

• Create dashboards and visualizations using Domo.

• Analyze data and trends to uncover insights and identify outliers.

• Verify datasets for accuracy, completeness, and proper structure.

• Help manage BI datasets, dashboards, cards, and user permissions.

• Resolve BI platform issues encountered by users.

• Document datasets, ETL processes, and lessons learned.

• Enhance workflows and efficiency while staying updated with Domo, data analytics, and BI best practices.

• Uphold strict confidentiality and professionalism regarding sensitive information.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Support data-driven decision-making throughout the company while collaborating closely with the Business Intelligence Manager.

• Have hands-on experience with a modern BI platform such as Domo, Power BI, Tableau, or a similar tool.

• Exhibit basic SQL knowledge adequate for data extraction.

• Demonstrate experience in creating charts and visualizations while conveying complex data intuitively.

• Ability to convert ambiguous questions or issues into data-driven solutions.

• Self-motivated with a focus on learning and project ownership from initiation to completion.

• Strong communication capabilities with both technical and non-technical teams.

• Attentive to detail with a professional level of skepticism.

• Ability to design scalable, maintainable, and reusable queries, ETLs, and dashboards.

• Nice-to-have: Experience with Domo.

• Nice-to-have: Experience in building comprehensive dashboards.

• Nice-to-have: Documentation or knowledge base experience, such as Confluence.

• Nice-to-have: Background in retail sales or tourism.

• Nice-to-have: Automation experience with Power Automate, Shortcuts, Workflows, Python, or Power Query.

• Nice-to-have: Experience with AI beyond basic LLM chats.

• Bonus skills: Experience with UKG Payroll and/or Cognos.

• Bonus skills: Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages.

• Bonus skills: Experience in data extraction from APIs and data source integration.

• Bonus skills: Conducting statistical analysis, including linear regression and standard deviation.
