This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Prepare cases, legal strategies, and cover letters with diligence.
• Acquire an expert-level understanding of client cases, including the preparation of immigrant/non-immigrant petitions with comprehensive knowledge of the application process and requirements, specifically in EB1, EB2-NIW, O-1, and RFEs.
• Oversee various projects and deadlines, and draft and revise documents accordingly.
• Clearly explain legal terminology to clients in a concise and timely manner.
• Conduct research on unique legal issues by identifying relevant statutes and judicial decisions.
• Keep informed about legislative changes that may impact immigration.
• Create solutions to complex legal inquiries.
• Provide training to client companies and individuals on substantive legal topics and updates regarding new immigration laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share information, resolve client issues, and support all client projects.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with clients and foreign nationals about procedural issues, case processing matters, and case strategy.
• Evaluate the eligibility of corporate foreign national employees for non-immigrant and immigrant visa status in the U.S.
• Collaborate with esteemed global mobility personnel and the office of general counsel, which involves preparing petitions and applications for submission to the Department of Labor (DOL) and the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) for non-immigrant and immigrant status for foreign national employees.
• Supervise paralegal staff in record keeping and document preparation to ensure accuracy.
• Hold a Juris Doctor or Master of Laws degree from an accredited US law school.
• Be admitted to a US state bar and maintain good standing.
• 1-2 years of experience with EB1, EB2-NIW, O-1, and RFEs is advantageous.
• Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
• Possess high-level organizational skills.
• Exhibit exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Demonstrate strong time management and attention to detail, with the capacity to effectively multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume law firm environment.
• Show adaptability and a willingness to learn across various practice areas.
• Have strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently on daily tasks, proactively, with minimal supervision.
