
Business Development Specialist – Mining & Minerals

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kazakhstan.
• Formulate and implement regional growth strategies that align with the company’s objectives.
• Discover and secure new business opportunities within the mining sector.
• Enhance presence through key-account management and acquiring new clients.
• Establish robust relationships with mining operators, EPCs, and senior decision-makers.
• Meet annual revenue and profitability targets (AOP).
• Propel solution-based selling and craft compelling value propositions.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing structures, and commercial agreements.
• Keep track of market trends, competitor actions, and pricing dynamics.
• Collaborate with technical teams to provide customized process solutions.
• Assist customers with audits, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Advocate for innovative technologies that enhance efficiency and lower operational costs.
• Comply with all company EHS policies and regulatory standards.
• Foster a strong safety culture across customer sites and internal operations.
• Ensure adherence to environmental standards and sustainable mining practices.
• Engage effectively with internal teams, customers, and partners across various countries.
• Deliver professional presentations and technical-commercial proposals.
• Provide regular updates on sales performance, pipeline status, and market developments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Mineral Processing, or a related field.
• 5–7+ years of experience in mining, mineral processing, or related industrial sectors.
• Demonstrated success in business development or technical sales.
• Strong knowledge of mineral-processing operations (crushing, grinding, flotation, hydrometallurgy, water management, tailings).
• Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation capabilities.
• Ability to cultivate strategic relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Technical insight into mining processes and chemical/reagent applications.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
• Capability to work across diverse cultures (experience in Kazakhstan & CIS is highly desirable).
