Business Development Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Design, advocate for, and execute programs, services, and resources that align with FCF’s mission.

• Offer business and financial planning, consultation, training, and support to early childhood education providers.

• Champion FCF and its diverse programs and services.

• Deliver training and consultation to childcare businesses aimed at enhancing business practices and operational strength.

• Support both startup childcare businesses and established ones facing financial challenges.

• Contribute to the analysis of financial and program data.

• Assist with program reporting requirements.

• Lead small-group and community engagement initiatives.

• Partner with FCF team members to promote and ensure the success of core programs.

• Travel within the Oregon metropolitan area to engage with partners, childcare businesses, and local communities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.

• At least four years of experience in financial management, planning, and/or training.

• Proven track record in consulting, training, lending, and/or financial analysis.

• Experience in working with small businesses or operating a small business.

• Capable of providing business and financial consultation and training.

• Proficient in reading, interpreting, and analyzing financial statements, as well as developing and managing budgets.

• Ability to think strategically, plan on a regional level, and implement plans effectively.

• Familiarity with state childcare licensing regulations.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Competent in working independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.

• Willingness to travel as necessary.
