This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee and expand the designated territory within the U.S. Independent Eye Care Professional (ECP) Channel.
• Identify, develop, and nurture new clients and business opportunities to enhance share of wallet.
• Conduct sales presentations to optometrists, ophthalmologists, opticians, and other optical professionals.
• Advocate for ZEISS products, services, and practice-based solutions utilizing consultative and conceptual selling techniques.
• Maintain records of customer interactions and activities in Salesforce.com.
• Formulate and sustain effective territory strategies.
• Create and execute account-specific programs and business plans.
• Act as a catalyst for the increased use of ZEISS products and portfolio.
• Conduct quarterly business assessments with sales management.
• Achieve or surpass sales growth objectives for Direct Rx business and other strategic goals.
• Identify key customer targets through Salesforce.com to elevate territory sales.
• Analyze customer operations, financial information, business models, and profit drivers; develop value-driven sales strategies.
• Prepare for sales calls with planning and objectives, anticipate objections, understand motivations, and establish trusted-advisor relationships.
• Lead discussions with ECPs, reach agreements, eliminate obstacles, and close sales.
• Develop tactical and strategic methods to fulfill business goals.
• Communicate the advantages and benefits of Carl Zeiss Vision products and services.
• Support and execute national marketing initiatives utilizing digital tools and applications.
• Provide on-site training and educational workshops.
• Collaborate with Alliance Groups to optimize opportunities within the designated territory.
• Work in conjunction with Carl Zeiss Vision team members and colleagues.
• Adhere to ZEISS ethical standards and leadership principles.
• Submit accurate and prompt reports in Salesforce.com.
• Manage travel expenses and submit timely reimbursement reports.
• Follow safety protocols and report any safety issues.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of 3 years in a successful business-to-business sales role, ideally in Rx sales, optical, medical devices, or retail operations within Fortune 500 companies.
• Alternatively, 5+ years of optical sales experience can substitute for outside sales experience.
• Strong sales orientation with the capability to advance key opportunities through the sales process, delivering detailed and precise sales forecasts using the company’s CRM tool.
• Ability to excel in a competitive landscape.
• Proven track record in devising plans to meet revenue and profitability targets.
• Strong consultative, conceptual, and negotiation skills with the ability to build influential relationships with clients.
• Disciplined and results-driven approach to selling, along with strong time management skills.
• Proven capacity to collaborate effectively as a team player and work well with others.
• Ability to influence outcomes and individuals.
• Self-motivated with the capability to work independently.
• ABO & ABO speaker certification preferred.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
