This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee objectives, strategies, and comprehensive business development for the designated U.S. Independent Eye Care Professional territory.
• Identify, nurture, and develop new client relationships while enhancing share of wallet.
• Conduct sales interactions with optometrists, ophthalmologists, opticians, and other optical professionals.
• Advocate for ZEISS products, services, and practice-based solutions through consultative and conceptual sales techniques.
• Maintain customer records and activities within the CRM system.
• Formulate and uphold territory plans while executing account-specific programs and business strategies.
• Achieve or surpass sales growth objectives for Direct Rx business, premium lenses, coatings, dispensing tools and equipment, and key sales initiatives.
• Classify territory using the CRM Account Classification system and pinpoint key customer targets.
• Assess customer store operations, financial metrics, business models, and profit factors to devise value-driven sales strategies.
• Create pre-call plans and objectives, anticipate objections, and establish trusted-advisor relationships.
• Guide sales discussions, encourage customers to modify behaviors, eliminate obstacles, and finalize deals.
• Develop tactical and strategic methods to fulfill business objectives.
• Articulate the advantages and benefits of Carl Zeiss Vision products and services effectively.
• Assist in executing national marketing strategies utilizing digital tools and applications.
• Conduct on-site training sessions and educational workshops.
• Implement customer marketing initiatives.
• Foster productive relationships with Carl Zeiss Vision employees and colleagues.
• Adhere to ethical practices in alignment with ZEISS philosophies and leadership principles.
• Submit punctual and accurate reports through Salesforce.com.
• Manage travel expenses and submit timely reimbursement reports.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years in a successful business-to-business sales role, ideally in Rx sales, optical, medical device, or retail operations within Fortune 500 companies.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Strong sales orientation with the capacity to advance key opportunities through the sales process.
• Ability to generate detailed and precise sales forecasts utilizing the company’s CRM tool.
• Proven experience in developing plans to meet revenue and profitability targets.
• Proficient consultative, conceptual, and negotiation abilities.
• Proven capability to establish influential relationships with clients.
• Disciplined, results-driven approach to selling with strong time management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to function as a team player and work collaboratively.
• Capacity to influence situations and individuals effectively.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
• ABO & ABO speaker certification is preferred.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
• Proficient in standard MS Office applications and company technological devices.
• Knowledge of Salesforce.com is preferred.
