This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Oversee objectives and strategies for the designated Northern California territory within the U.S. Independent Eye Care Professional Channel.
• Identify, develop, and nurture new clients and business opportunities.
• Conduct sales meetings with optometrists, ophthalmologists, opticians, and other eye care specialists.
• Advocate for ZEISS products, services, and practice-based solutions employing consultative and conceptual selling techniques.
• Maintain customer records and activities within the CRM system.
• Formulate and sustain territory plans.
• Create and execute account-specific programs and business strategies.
• Achieve or surpass sales growth objectives for Direct Rx business and strategic goals.
• Segment the territory using the CRM Account Classification system and pinpoint key customer targets.
• Assess customer store operations, financial metrics, business models, and profit drivers.
• Develop value-based sales strategies.
• Prepare for calls with pre-call planning and objectives; anticipate potential objections.
• Lead sales discussions, foster agreement, eliminate obstacles, and finalize deals.
• Formulate tactical and strategic methods to achieve business objectives.
• Articulate the advantages and benefits of Carl Zeiss Vision products and services.
• Assist in executing national marketing initiatives utilizing digital tools and applications.
• Conduct on-site training and educational workshops.
• Implement customer marketing programs.
• Collaborate with Carl Zeiss Vision employees and partners.
• Submit accurate and timely reports via Salesforce.com.
• Manage travel expenses and submit expense reports.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related field is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years in a successful business-to-business sales role, ideally in Rx sales, optical, medical device, or retail operations within Fortune 500 companies.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Strong sales orientation with the capability to advance key opportunities through the sales cycle.
• Ability to generate detailed and accurate sales forecasts using the company's CRM tool.
• Capacity to excel in a competitive landscape.
• Experience in devising plans to meet revenue and profitability objectives.
• Strong consultative, conceptual, and negotiation abilities.
• Skill in establishing influential relationships with clients.
• Disciplined, results-driven approach to sales.
• Excellent time management capabilities.

• Proficiency in influencing situations and individuals.

• ABO & ABO speaker certification is preferred.

• Proficient with standard MS Office applications, company technology devices, and product ordering.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com is preferred.
