This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Connect with leads sourced internally and through sales channels via phone, email, and SMS.
• Evaluate if clients can independently serve themselves or need personal sales assistance.
• Represent Wealthsimple’s value proposition as the initial point of contact.
• Employ a needs-based sales methodology to identify client requirements and effectively position products and services.
• Perform structured discovery to gain a comprehensive understanding of clients’ financial situations and pinpoint opportunities for consolidation and wallet share.
• Discover cross-selling opportunities through daily interactions with clients.
• Develop and oversee a personal pipeline through referrals and previously untapped opportunities.
• Focus on products that align with business objectives, such as margin accounts, active trading, and cash balances.
• Cultivate and qualify potential clients throughout the entire sales cycle until completion.
• Meet monthly Net Deposit goals and daily outbound activity performance indicators.
• 2–4 years of experience in a sales position, preferably with a consultative or exploratory focus.
• Background in financial services or SaaS is preferred.
• Possession of an undergraduate or post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline.
• Proficient financial literacy across various account types, including registered vs. non-registered and borrowing vs. deposit products.
• Familiarity with sales technologies such as Salesforce, Salesloft, Gong, or similar platforms.
• Competence in consultative discovery techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort with using AI tools to enhance productivity.
• Proven experience working towards goals or sales targets.
• Resilience in dealing with rejection and objections.
• Resourcefulness and flexibility in approach.
• Strong sales acumen and business understanding.
• Completion or progress in the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or Investment Funds in Canada (IFC) is recommended.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Experience with cold-calling in a sales-focused environment.
