This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Build, nurture, and sustain in-person relationships with both current and potential influencers within the designated territory.
• Drive new sales through proactive outreach, effective territory planning, and the cultivation of relationships.
• Increase product market share by identifying and developing new referral sources.
• Assess influencer requirements and forge long-term partnerships that enhance lead generation.
• Offer technical expertise and consultative support to government officials and referral partners.
• Educate partners on product functionalities, reporting platforms, and compliance features.
• Participate in trade shows, industry conferences, and state-level meetings.
• Act as the territory specialist on state regulations, impaired driving laws, ignition interlock mandates, and alcohol monitoring standards.
• Formulate and implement competitive sales strategies tailored to the dynamics of the local market.
• Collect market intelligence to uphold Smart Start's competitive edge.
• Maintain expertise in Smart Start products, CRM systems, and monitoring platforms.
• Conduct regular face-to-face meetings to reinforce referral pipelines and support territory growth.
• Allocate approximately 80% of time in the field.
• Expect overnight travel around 40%, including occasional weekend travel for conferences and industry events.
• Report directly to the Director of Business Development.
• Must reside in the North Texas region.
• Understanding of the criminal justice system is required.
• Capability to establish professional relationships with law enforcement personnel, court staff, attorneys, and other justice-system stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience in sales or business development is essential.
• Ability to operate independently in a field-based setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities.
• Proficiency in demonstrating and utilizing breath alcohol testing devices consistently.
• Valid driver's license and capability to operate a motor vehicle.
• Above-average proficiency in computer skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is necessary.
• Familiarity with CRM and proprietary software systems is preferred.
• An Associate or Bachelor's degree is highly desirable.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience in impaired driving, ignition interlock, or alcohol monitoring programs is highly advantageous.
