This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.
• Report directly to the Director of Business Development.
• Enhance market presence and cultivate strategic influencer partnerships within a designated territory.
• Establish, nurture, and maintain face-to-face relationships with both current and prospective influencers.
• Drive new sales through proactive outreach, territory planning, and relationship development.
• Increase product market share by identifying and developing new referral sources.
• Assess influencer needs and foster long-term partnerships that generate leads.
• Offer technical expertise and consultative support to government officials and referral partners.
• Educate partners on product functionality, reporting systems, and compliance features.
• Participate in trade shows, industry conferences, and state-level meetings.
• Act as a territory authority on state regulations, impaired driving laws, ignition interlock requirements, and alcohol monitoring standards.
• Formulate and implement competitive sales strategies tailored to local market conditions.
• Collect market intelligence to uphold Smart Start’s competitive edge.
• Maintain proficiency in Smart Start products, CRM systems, and monitoring platforms.
• Conduct regular face-to-face meetings to strengthen referral pipelines and promote territory growth.
• MUST reside in Nevada, preferably in the Reno or Las Vegas regions.
• Demonstrated experience in sales or business development.
• Capability to work independently in a field-based setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
• Proficiency in demonstrating and utilizing breath alcohol testing devices consistently.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
• Experience in impaired driving, ignition interlock, or alcohol monitoring programs is highly preferred.
• An Associate or Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.
• Approximately 80% of the time will be spent in the field.
• About 40% overnight travel required, including occasional weekend travel for conferences and industry events.
• Above-average computer skills are essential.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with CRM and proprietary software systems.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
