This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Proactively identify and engage potential customer prospects while nurturing relationships.
• Develop and expand business opportunities for Armstrong Flooring, Crossville Tile, and AHF Contract.
• Formulate strategies to target prospective clients and align suitable AHF product solutions.
• Drive top-line revenue growth, enhance customer acquisition, and boost profitability.
• Generate specifications within the Architect/Design community, end-users, and flooring contractors.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with end users, architects/interior designers, flooring contractors, and other essential buyers.
• Analyze purchasing requirements and modify sales strategies accordingly.
• Present, advocate for, and sell company products and services to both new and existing clients.
• Discover new service prospects to enhance sales in current accounts and fortify relationships.
• Reach out to new customers through networking, social media platforms, and cold calls.
• Develop and engage external networks to gather market intelligence.
• Design and execute sales-enhancing marketing campaigns, special events, and sponsorships.
• Collaborate with customer support and management throughout the specification and order fulfillment processes.
• Relay project details to ensure successful implementation.
• Support clients with budgeting and prepare formal pricing and proposals.
• Draft sales forecasts and projections.
• Maintain customer profiles, contacts, and account updates in the CRM system.
• Assist management with annual, quarterly, and monthly strategic and sales planning.
• Aid management in identifying product gaps or areas for improvement.
• Travel in the field 75–80% of the time, including 10–20% of that time for overnight stays.
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent professional experience.
• Background in an outside sales role servicing a diverse client base.
• Preferred knowledge of flooring products.
• Documented success in selling to large corporate clients.
• Familiarity with specifications, design, and project phases.
• Strong grasp of construction, real estate, and job site conditions.
• Capability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 20 pounds.
• Adequate vision to see tools and equipment clearly.
• Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions and in noisy, dusty environments.
• Proficient analytical thinking and decision-making skills.
