This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Formulate and implement growth strategies within the Energy and Utilities sector.
• Identify, evaluate, and advance new business opportunities that align with Kainos' strategic goals.
• Establish and sustain a robust pipeline of opportunities that contribute to sustainable revenue growth.
• Guide opportunities from initial engagement through qualification, proposal development, commercial negotiations, and contract signing.
• Create account growth plans for key customers and targeted organizations.
• Cultivate trusted relationships with senior business, operational, and technology stakeholders.
• Grasp customer priorities, challenges, and strategic goals.
• Position Kainos as a reliable transformation partner.
• Engage with executive-level stakeholders to support long-term strategic alliances.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional pursuit teams spanning sales, consulting, delivery, and technology.
• Shape customer propositions and develop commercial solutions.
• Assist with major bids, framework opportunities, and competitive procurements.
• Contribute to sector-specific go-to-market strategies and Energy and Utilities propositions.
• Build and maintain an active network within the sector.
• Represent Kainos at industry events, customer interactions, and partner activities.
• Keep abreast of market trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.
• Collaborate across Kainos business units to enhance customer value and growth.
• Share market insights, customer intelligence, and best practices.
• Support and mentor colleagues while enhancing business development capabilities.
• Proven experience in business development, account growth, or strategic sales within the Energy and Utilities sector.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the UK Energy and Utilities market, including key industry challenges, drivers, and regulatory aspects.
• Demonstrated success in originating, shaping, and securing complex digital transformation opportunities.
• Experience in leading opportunities with annual contract values exceeding £5 million.
• Strong commercial awareness with a background in formulating and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
• Ability to engage, influence, and establish credibility with senior stakeholders and executive decision-makers.
• Experience in developing and managing strategic customer relationships.
• Solid understanding of digital transformation, cloud solutions, data, and AI-enabled business changes.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Capacity to lead virtual teams and operate effectively in multidisciplinary environments.
• Strong planning, organizational, and opportunity management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and highly competitive market.
• Existing connections within major UK energy, utility, or regulated industry organizations.
• Experience collaborating with electricity, gas, water, or environmental service providers.
• Familiarity with working alongside regulators, infrastructure operators, or critical national infrastructure organizations.
• Experience in large-scale transformation programs.
• History of developing opportunities in partnership with technology providers such as Microsoft, AWS, and other ecosystem partners.
