This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Develop and manage a targeted account list for manufacturing and logistics operations throughout North America.
• Establish relationships with executives and plant leadership at targeted accounts.
• Assess opportunities for autonomous mobile robots, automated transport solutions, collaborative robot cells, simulation and digital twin technologies, and complete integration services.
• Guide opportunities from initial engagement through proposal, negotiation, and purchase order stages.
• Lead consulting engagements that outline subsequent hardware program specifications.
• Keep an accurate pipeline and forecast up to date.
• Report progress towards new customer acquisition and purchase order objectives.
• Build partnerships with third-party logistics providers, system integrators, and technology collaborators.
• Represent LG at industry associations, consortiums, and trade shows.
• Collaborate with Technical Sales Engineers and Engineering teams to define solution scopes.
• Prepare responses for Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ).
• Ensure technical feasibility is confirmed prior to customer commitments.
• Operate within the established pricing, contracting, and commercial approval framework of the company.
• Transition awarded programs to Program Management with comprehensive scope, schedule, and commercial documentation.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
• Over 7 years of experience in business development or solution sales within industrial automation, robotics, material handling, or smart factory solutions.
• Demonstrated success in acquiring new enterprise customers and closing capital equipment or automation programs with lengthy sales cycles.
• Proven experience selling to plant operations, manufacturing engineering, and procurement in discrete manufacturing or logistics sectors.
• Experience collaborating with headquarters engineering or product organizations in a global company is preferred.
• Executive presence and the capability to articulate automation value in operational and financial terms for decision-makers at both plant and corporate levels.
• Self-motivated pipeline builder who is comfortable working as an individual contributor within a small, expanding team.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing automation, robotics, simulation, and digital transformation.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the country to customer sites and industry events.
