This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Propel business expansion by seeking new clients for the pharmaceutical storage sector in the Mid-Atlantic area.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer relationships, from initial prospecting to finalizing new business agreements.
• Assist in upselling and cross-selling opportunities to current pharmaceutical storage clients and other Alcami service lines.
• Oversee relationships with active pharmaceutical storage clients.
• Ensure successful service delivery from the signing of proposals to the execution of projects.
• Achieve or surpass sales objectives through acquiring new accounts and upselling supplementary services.
• Work collaboratively with sales team members to identify clients with additional needs that align with services offered at other Alcami locations.
• Cultivate a thorough understanding of clients’ pipelines and previous Alcami experiences to pinpoint upselling opportunities.
• Engage in client visits, discussions for new business, and business review meetings as required.
• Keep precise customer information in Salesforce and produce timely activity reports and metrics.
• Carry out other assigned duties.
• Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences discipline or experience in selling GMP storage services.
• Previous sales experience is preferred.
• Strong customer service capabilities are essential.
• Experience in CMO or CDMO is preferred.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in a customer-facing role within the Life Sciences sector.
• Knowledge of cGMP and the drug development process, either through coursework or prior employment, is preferred.
• Previous experience in pharmaceutical or CDMO business functions is necessary.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Strong organizational skills and customer service abilities; multitasking is essential.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills are required.
• Results-driven, determined, and proactive; comfortable managing challenging client discussions regarding timelines, budgets, and unforeseen outcomes.
• Capability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
• Skilled in utilizing internet and social media tools for researching potential leads.
• Ability to quickly learn and utilize a Customer Relationship Management system is required.
• Previous CRM experience, preferably with Salesforce, is preferred.
• Prior exposure to value-based selling and negotiation skills is advantageous.
• Availability to work Monday–Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 1st shift.
• Must reside within the Mid-Atlantic region.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.
• Capable of regularly lifting/moving up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
