This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Enhance Festool’s presence in the paint retail sector across Canada and stimulate revenue growth.
• Identify, qualify, recruit, and nurture new paint dealer locations.
• Create and implement an annual business development strategy for the Canadian paint market.
• Assess distribution gaps and prioritize opportunities based on market potential and dealer capabilities.
• Cultivate relationships with dealer owners, leadership teams, buyers, and decision-makers.
• Prepare dealer proposals encompassing assortments, opening orders, merchandising, training, and launch activities.
• Oversee dealer onboarding and transition locations from opening orders to consistent sell-through and repeat business.
• Increase engagement within existing paint retail networks.
• Expand the growth of assigned paint dealers through assortment diversification, product availability, merchandising, and sales increase.
• Train dealer teams to effectively demonstrate, recommend, and sell Festool products.
• Utilize product demonstrations, contractor engagement, and dealer events to stimulate location activation and demand creation.
• Identify Canadian opportunities within centrally managed accounts and buying groups.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, training, and customer service teams.
• Maintain an active CRM pipeline to track opportunities, openings, revenue potential, and subsequent steps.
• Monitor location productivity, reorder activity, sales growth, and pipeline conversion.
• Strategically plan national travel and customer engagement focusing on priority markets and high-value opportunities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
• A minimum of 5 years in sales, business development, or dealer development is preferred, ideally in paint, coatings, power tools, abrasives, or related professional trade markets.
• Proven track record in recruiting new dealers, expanding retail distribution, or enhancing participation within multi-location customer networks.
• Demonstrated ability to convert prospective accounts into active, productive customers and achieve sustained revenue growth.
• Strong comprehension of the Canadian paint retail market; established industry connections are highly preferred.
• Experience in identifying market opportunities, prioritizing prospects, and developing actionable business development strategies.
• Excellent commercial judgment, including articulating dealer value, recommending assortments, and negotiating commitments within company guidelines.
• Confidence in engaging with dealer owners, senior decision-makers, buyers, and store-level teams.
• Capability to conduct hands-on product demonstrations and dealer training.
• Willingness to acquire in-depth knowledge of Festool products and applications.
• Strong skills in prospecting, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building.
• Proficiency with CRM tools and sales analytics.
• Ability to manage national responsibilities and coordinate internal resources without direct reporting authority.
• Residence in the Greater Toronto Area.
• Willingness and ability to travel across Canada and occasionally to the United States, including overnight travel and some weekend events.
• Proficiency in English is required; French proficiency is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and capability to transport and demonstrate tools and equipment safely.
• Willingness to travel overnight approximately 50% of the time.
