This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +2 more states.
• Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities for designated segments and markets.
• Assess and implement strategic business plans aimed at the growth and development of assigned opportunities.
• Oversee and manage the complete process of building, qualifying, and establishing cooperative contracts for Geotab sales channels.
• Collaborate with Business Segment teams to target and secure top client pursuits.
• Establish business development goals, objectives, sales targets, and budgets.
• Track business development activities using relevant tools and maintain a pipeline of partners, contracts, and resellers.
• Conduct outbound market research and analysis to discover new partners.
• Identify Geotab’s unique selling propositions and differentiators by leveraging market and competitor insights.
• Enhance industry knowledge while monitoring trends, shifts, and the competitive landscape.
• Attend trade shows and present at conferences to foster relationships, enhance brand visibility, and establish thought leadership.
• Educate and share expertise with Partner Account Managers and resellers.
• Provide insights on business opportunities, competitive analysis, market trends, and the overall business environment.
• Work together with internal departments on the RFX process.
• Collaborate with leadership on both short- and long-term strategic plans.
• Support Geotab's global strategic initiatives.
• 5-8 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, specifically in the Mobility Analytics, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Smart City, or Traffic Technology sectors.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• A valid passport is required.
• Demonstrated success in developing new sales and accounts.
• Experience within the telematics industry.
• Strong ability to comprehend technical and business requirements.
• Capacity to anticipate and understand customer needs while providing effective solutions.
• Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management abilities.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including comfort in delivering presentations and training sessions.
• Strong project management capabilities.
• Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective time management and multitasking abilities.
• Adaptability to evolving technology and market demands.
• Technical proficiency with Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides) and Customer Relationship Management tools such as Salesforce.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort in a flat organizational structure.
• Reliable internet connection with a minimum of 50mb DL/10mb UL when working remotely.
• Eligibility to work in the United States, verified through E-Verify.
