
Business Development Manager – Mining Aftermarket

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wyoming.
• Lead the growth and expansion of Liebherr’s national aftermarket components division.
• Promote and support drives, slewing bearings, and hydraulic cylinders for non-Liebherr mining excavators and haul trucks.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities by engaging with customers at mine sites, corporate offices, maintenance facilities, and other locations.
• Build and sustain relationships with customers, industry stakeholders, service partners, and market influencers.
• Develop and implement strategies for Mining Aftermarket services and remanufacturing.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders while maintaining a proactive approach to execution.
• Generate and qualify sales leads.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and presentations.
• Create and execute strategic sales initiatives.
• Manage customer opportunities and maintain CRM systems.
• Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities.
• Travel extensively across North America.
• Report directly to the Divisional Director of Liebherr USA Co. Components and the Global Head of Sales for Mining Aftermarket.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, ideally in Mining or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the mining sector.
• At least 3 years in Sales, Sales Support, Application Engineering, Business Development, and/or Product Management.
• Experience and a track record of success in sales and/or service within the heavy machinery/components sector of the mining industry or related fields preferred.
• Proficient in the MS Office suite.
• Familiarity with CRM systems.
• Advanced expertise in contract management and legal matters.
• Understanding of U.S. import and export regulations.
• Technical knowledge of excavator cylinders, excavator/truck drives, and slewing bearings is advantageous.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, is required.
• Proficiency in German, both written and spoken, is preferred but not mandatory.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license and passport.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 80% of the time.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
