This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Expand Richelieu’s lighting business segment by collaborating with kitchen and bath dealers, retailers, distributors, and buying groups.
• Act as the main commercial connection between the Head Office and the Midwest sales team.
• Implement, embrace, and enhance assigned product categories throughout the region.
• Promote the adoption and specification of the lighting business segment across designated super classes.
• Collaborate with sales representatives on call planning, territory strategies, and customer development initiatives.
• Engage in joint customer visits and specification discussions.
• Assist strategic accounts with pricing, quoting, and inventory management.
• Conduct showroom visits and engage with customers on-site.
• Attend regional Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and provide insights on execution, competitive landscape, and market opportunities.
• Deliver product and category training throughout the region.
• Lead the introduction of new products and support their rollout.
• Assist in customer-facing demonstrations and technical conversations.
• Work with Product Champions to ensure consistent messaging and execution.
• Facilitate the adoption of sales tools, merchandising standards, and catalogs.
• Act as a regional liaison with key suppliers and product managers.
• Encourage consistent CRM usage and ensure pipeline visibility.
• Provide succinct monthly updates on activities, pipeline status, and key initiatives.
• Proven business development experience with retailers in the home improvement sector (building materials, construction, etc.).
• Capability to serve as both a "hunter" in forging new relationships and a "farmer" in nurturing existing retail clients.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Willingness to travel as needed; frequent regional travel typically ranging from 50–70%.
• A college degree is preferred but not mandatory; a blend of education and experience will be taken into account.
