This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +2 more states.
• Conduct market research and develop expertise throughout the Northeast region.
• Align facility capabilities and capacity with market demands.
• Identify industrial customers and sub-verticals.
• Examine market dynamics, competitors, partners, and pricing strategies to secure business and meet revenue objectives.
• Maintain and implement a pipeline for identifying, qualifying, and acquiring new business opportunities.
• Engage with key customer stakeholders to understand their requirements.
• Develop solutions utilizing Divert’s offerings.
• Champion the Voice of the Customer within the team and the broader organization.
• Ensure a comprehensive, concierge-level experience throughout business development and onboarding.
• Effectively transition customers to the Customer Success team.
• Collaborate with Marketing, RevOps, Customer Success, Product, and Operations teams.
• Bachelor's degree in environmental studies, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• 2–4 years of experience in business development, customer acquisition, and project execution.
• 2–4 years of experience in the energy, recycling, food & beverage, and/or transportation sectors.
• A valid driver's license is required for travel purposes.
• Exceptional communication skills with an understanding of diverse audience needs.
• Proven success in data analysis within a commercial/business development environment.
• Detail-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger, cross-functional team.
• Familiarity with standard business tools, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Preferred: experience in physical operations, including plant operations or manufacturing.
• Preferred: background in building customer pipelines, nurturing relationships, and closing sales.
• Preferred: experience with solution sales of liquid (DAF / SAF sludge) waste, palletized waste, or physical operations.
• Demonstrated interest in sustainability and/or hands-on industry experience.
