This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +1 more state.
• Formulate and implement business development strategies that are in line with HCEM's growth objectives and business plans.
• Organize, coordinate, and assist with both annual and long-term growth initiatives.
• Ensure thorough visibility of the HCEM business development pipeline, which includes leads, opportunities, proposals, orders, renewals, and strategic endeavors.
• Assess and prioritize opportunities based on strategic alignment, client requirements, timing, probability, and growth potential.
• Facilitate follow-up on leads and opportunities throughout the sales pipeline.
• Oversee pursuits from initial lead to closing, encompassing proposal development and scope/fee formulation.
• Connect HCEM Business Development, Operations, and clients to synchronize growth priorities.
• Maintain precise business development data within company systems.
• Advocate for consistent business development processes, tools, and accountability.
• Monitor pipeline performance, identifying trends, gaps, risks, and areas that need attention.
• Align key accounts and opportunities with relevant internal stakeholders.
• Support proactive business development efforts and the cultivation of client relationships.
• Take ownership of HCEM business development initiatives from strategy formulation to execution.
• Keep abreast of trends in the healthcare and emergency management sectors, client challenges, competition, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities.
• Articulate Jensen Hughes’ service value and link client needs with technical expertise and solutions.
• Build relationships at various levels within key accounts.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (not mandatory).
• A minimum of four (4) years of experience in business development, account management, and people management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred.
• Experience with government contract tracking systems or platforms is preferred.
• Background in a professional services firm is preferred.
• General knowledge and comfort with using computer databases and menu-driven reports.
• Self-motivated individual who works well independently, showing a strong bias for action.
• Strong project coordination and organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail and the initiative to follow through.
• Ability to perform efficiently in fast-paced and high-pressure environments.
• Capability to work with minimal supervision and in a collaborative team environment.
• Outstanding customer service skills paired with strong listening abilities.
• Ability to generate unique and innovative plans or solutions.
• Willingness to travel to the Connecticut or New York office approximately quarterly is preferred.
