Business Development Manager – FMCG Brands, Retail

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Drive new enterprise-level business for Avery Dennison’s Labeling and Sustainable Packaging solutions.

• Identify, develop, and secure direct partnerships with leading FMCG brands and top-tier retailers throughout Europe.

• Position Avery Dennison as a leading innovation partner.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to key decision-makers in Procurement, Packaging Development, Brand Management, and Sustainability.

• Utilize an existing network to foster and maintain relationships with prominent European FMCGs, retailers, and contract manufacturers.

• Propel lead generation efforts and build a significant business opportunity pipeline.

• Manage accounts using SFDC.

• Collaborate with sales colleagues to convert leads into tangible outcomes that result in the specification of Avery Dennison labels by end users.

• Identify unmet needs and offer insights and recommendations for product development and market positioning.

• Navigate lengthy and complex enterprise opportunity cycles.

• Transform concepts and sustainability initiatives into commercial successes.

• Establish connections with the sales team to transfer opportunities to the converter channel for demand fulfillment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

• Over 9 years of direct B2B enterprise sales or business development experience specifically in labels, packaging materials, or packaging solutions.

• A proven history of targeting and generating opportunities for labels or packaging materials with leading FMCG brands and major European retailers.

• An active and relevant network of decision-makers.

• Strong analytical abilities.

• Technical proficiency.

• Skills in influencing and storytelling.

• Demonstrated experience in scaling multimillion-dollar portfolios.

• Fluency in English.

• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

• Proficiency in additional languages such as French and German is strongly preferred.
