This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.
• Establish the market presence of Twist in synthetic genes, oligo pools, DNA variant libraries, antibody production and characterization, as well as biopharma services.
• Develop strategic objectives and cultivate key relationships with distributors and customers.
• Identify new business opportunities and negotiate to finalize business agreements.
• Collaborate with internal Twist product line teams, sales, marketing, legal, and other essential managers to optimize revenue.
• Identify and promote business partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, as well as academic institutions.
• Establish, develop, and finalize commercial contracts and agreements with customers, collaborators, and partners.
• Manage and sustain commercial alliances throughout development, early commercialization, and product launch.
• Prospect and generate leads for the DNA Synthesis and Protein Solutions portfolio.
• Drive and ensure a continuous flow of deals leading to high-value commercial agreements.
• Evaluate partnership and licensing prospects.
• Present Twist's capabilities, skills, and offerings to potential collaborators and partners.
• Lead negotiations, perform due diligence, and facilitate deals through to contract execution.
• Maintain and enhance customer relationships, collaborations, and partnerships.
• Coordinate subject matter experts and internal resources for new opportunities.
• Analyze market and financial data, presenting business cases effectively.
• Conduct market research and uphold a diverse revenue pipeline.
• Oversee customized sales tools and marketing materials, including proposals, RFP responses, and technical presentations.
• Report to the Senior Director of DNA Synthesis and Protein Solutions, KOSEA.
• Based in Singapore, overseeing business development activities across Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
• Master’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• A minimum of 3–5 years of commercial experience in synthetic biology, protein engineering, and/or antibody discovery and screening.
• Proven scientific problem-solving abilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of requirements in industrial applications.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Capability to work collaboratively on challenging and demanding projects.
• Ability to excel in a start-up or change-oriented environment.
• Strategic thinking complemented by tactical execution.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• A background in technical sales and support is desirable.
• A PhD degree is preferred.
