This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Formulate and implement business development and sales strategies that align with Honeywell's long-term growth objectives in the Defence sector.
• Meet or surpass sales targets by increasing market share and enhancing Honeywell's presence in the Defence market.
• Identify, assess, and pursue new business opportunities throughout Australia and New Zealand.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with Defence customers, consultants, contractors, EPCs, OEMs, partners, and industry associations.
• Work collaboratively with marketing, product management, and sales teams to create customer-centric solutions and maximize growth potential.
• Leverage customer insights and market intelligence to recognize trends and inform business development strategies.
• Develop and reinforce strategic partnerships with channel partners and distributors.
• Represent Honeywell at industry conferences, customer meetings, and networking events.
• Foster strategic engagement with customers and partners to position Honeywell as a reliable provider of technology and solutions.
• A Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Over 7 years of experience in business development, strategic sales, or account management within Defence, technology, building services, automation, infrastructure, or similar sectors.
• Established connections within the Australian Defence sector, including key stakeholders, prime contractors, industry partners, and decision-makers.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage networks to identify and secure new business prospects.
• Experience in formulating and executing growth strategies as well as winning complex, high-value contracts.
• Proven track record with direct sales, channel partners, distributors, and systems integrators.
• Proficient in utilizing market intelligence, customer insights, and data to guide business decisions and growth initiatives.
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking skills.
• Adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Capability to build and maintain relationships with customers, partners, consultants, contractors, and industry stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel throughout Australia and New Zealand as necessary, up to 50% of the time.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance.
