
Business Development Manager – Data Center, Cable Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.
• Create new business opportunities and drive product specifications into advanced data center architectures.
• Increase revenue through strategic partnerships with key ecosystem collaborators.
• Utilize Velcro Companies’ array of hook and loop solutions to secure new specifications and applications.
• Propel product specifications into hyperscaler data center initiatives and large enterprise implementations.
• Identify, assess, and secure new business prospects with hyperscalers, integrators, OEMs, and distributors.
• Formulate account plans and growth strategies that align with corporate revenue and margin goals.
• Consult with engineers, architects, and procurement teams effectively.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in data center infrastructure applications.
• Assist in customer evaluations, demonstrations, and design dialogues.
• Negotiate commercial agreements with customers and partners.
• Collaborate with marketing and project management teams.
• Contribute to sales forecasts and annual projections.
• Build and nurture partnerships while maintaining frequent customer interactions.
• Lead technical specifications across the Velcro Companies portfolio and coordinate cross-functional efforts.
• Deliver technical presentations and provide insights to management.
• Utilize CRM systems to track opportunity pipelines, quotes, customer contracts, and project information.
• Assist with additional technical business development tasks as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in business development, technical sales, or product specification within data centers, networking, or infrastructure sectors.
• Demonstrated success in collaborating with hyperscalers and system integrators.
• Proven ability to navigate complex sales cycles effectively.
• Strong technical understanding of data center systems.
• Excellent relationship-building and negotiation abilities.
• Successful track record with a consultative approach and adaptability.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities, sound judgment, and the ability to influence decision-making effectively.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and self-driven work ethic.
• Experience with Salesforce.com is preferred.
• Willingness to travel; minimum of 50% up to 70%.
