This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +6 more states.
• Actively seek out new business opportunities within designated aerospace, defense, and space sectors in the assigned area.
• Manage a select number of current accounts while focusing on generating new business for Amphenol CIT.
• Acquire knowledge of other Amphenol divisions and products to collaborate on mutual opportunities.
• Generate new business in alignment with the company's growth and profitability objectives.
• Take initiative to identify opportunities, eliminate barriers, and advance projects effectively.
• Foster valuable relationships with both new and existing accounts and connect customer interactions with internal colleagues.
• Work together with Amphenol's Military and Aerospace Operations sales team to pinpoint and cultivate opportunities.
• Partner with product management and engineering teams on priorities and opportunities for new product development.
• Position ACIT as the preferred technology partner for new accounts.
• Create and implement strategies to close sales funnel opportunities and generate new business.
• Evaluate the broader market landscape and dynamics to inform investment and commercial strategies.
• Assist in developing product roadmaps within growth accounts.
• Follow up with clients to ensure that service-level expectations are met or surpassed.
• Represent ACIT at trade shows and industry events; assist with presentations and related materials.
• Stay updated on current industry trends.
• Lead internal training initiatives and advocate for market updates.
• Perform other assigned tasks as necessary.
• No direct supervisory responsibilities involved.
• A minimum of five years of experience in sales, engineering, and/or product management within the aerospace and/or interconnect sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Knowledge of, or a strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn, key product selling points and how they relate to account needs.
• High learning agility to grasp Amphenol CIT products and business processes.
• Capability to lead by influence among cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to coordinate and forge internal relationships to support account activities.
• Familiarity with financial reports and ratios, such as margins, inventory turnover, costs, and profit/loss statements.
• Competence in creating and presenting professional commercial proposals and presentations.
• Strong analytical skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams, Power BI, SharePoint, and other cloud-based business applications.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Professional demeanor and conduct.
• Capability to meet specified physical demands, including occasional lifting/moving of up to 25 pounds.
• Willingness and ability to travel 30%–50% of the time.
• Option for home-based work or the ability to be located at one of Amphenol's facilities in the Central US region.
