This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Advocate for and educate mortgage brokers about Manulife Bank's offerings.
• Nurture and enhance current mortgage broker relationships.
• Seek out new mortgage broker partnerships.
• Execute targeted calling initiatives, virtual meetings, and professional sales communications via telephone and email.
• Cultivate, sustain, and broaden internal and external connections within a designated geographic area.
• Deliver Manulife Bank’s sales strategy through a series of educational sessions.
• Collaborate with External Business Development Managers to pinpoint candidates for the educational program.
• Administer knowledge assessments for achieving master status.
• Create, host, and present virtual meetings for assigned brokers.
• Assist brokers from the pre-application stage through to funding.
• Support and oversee National Desks to attract mortgage deals.
• Manage funding ratios with brokers in the portfolio.
• Process deals from referred and existing broker clients.
• Oversee broker transitions to external BDMs upon completion of education and achievement of volume or funded-deal objectives.
• Facilitate brokers’ return to internal support if they drop below external BDM thresholds.
• Evaluate broker performance to identify relationships for termination.
• Work in collaboration with Compliance, Client Services, Marketing, Events, Product, and other internal teams.
• Organize daily responsibilities to meet productivity targets and support brokers and the sales region.
• Utilize technology to enhance efficiency within the territory and sales team.
• A college or university degree in a relevant field.
• At least 2 years of experience in the banking and mortgage brokerage sector.
• In-depth knowledge of mortgage underwriting.
• Proficiency in conducting virtual meetings and presentations.
• Capability to analyze sales data and reports effectively.
• Skills in business planning and territory management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Aptitude for building and maintaining professional relationships.
• Strong enthusiasm for learning and development.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Power BI, and Adobe platforms is advantageous.
• Ability to persuade and negotiate through effective consultation and active listening.
• Proven sales expertise, business development, and prospecting skills.
• Experience in implementing a repeatable and measurable sales process.
