This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania.
• Identify, cultivate, and oversee business opportunities throughout Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, with a focus on defense, UAV technologies, autonomous systems, and government procurement.
• Establish and nurture relationships with ministries of defense, armed forces, government agencies, defense organizations, local industry partners, and key regional stakeholders.
• Formulate and implement market strategies for the Baltic nations.
• Guide opportunities through the entire business development cycle, from initial engagement and qualification to proposals, negotiations, and contract awards.
• Lead and assist in bids, tenders, proposals, and procurement processes.
• Gain insights into Baltic defense priorities, procurement frameworks, capability requirements, budgets, and competitive dynamics.
• Identify local partnerships and opportunities for industrial collaboration.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, legal, finance, and program teams to convert customer requirements into feasible solutions.
• Represent Destinus at customer meetings, defense exhibitions, demonstrations, industry events, and strategic engagements.
• Maintain a qualified, prioritized, and actionable regional opportunity pipeline.
• Travel regularly across Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and other European markets.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, government relations, procurement, or a comparable commercial role within defense, aerospace, UAVs, autonomous systems, or related technologies.
• Strong comprehension of the Baltic defense ecosystem, ideally possessing an established network across Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, or the broader Nordic and Eastern European region.
• Experience engaging with government clients, armed forces, ministries of defense, defense procurement organizations, or major industry partners.
• Solid understanding of public procurement, tenders, bids, and complex defense sales cycles.
• Demonstrated ability to develop opportunities from initial customer engagement through negotiation and contract award.
• Strong commercial acumen and capability to grasp both technical and strategic aspects of customer requirements.
• Outstanding communication, presentation, relationship-building, and negotiation abilities.
• Proficient in English is required.
• Proficiency in Lithuanian, Latvian, or Estonian languages is highly valued, particularly Lithuanian for candidates based in Lithuania.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with multidisciplinary and international teams.
• Willingness to travel frequently across the Baltic region and internationally.
• Eligibility to work with defense-related technologies and to obtain relevant security clearances when necessary.
