This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vermont.
• Generate demand for services and successfully sell and close business in the Aerospace sector.
• Define, scope, and execute effective sales strategies for designated territories or markets.
• Identify, develop, and finalize new opportunities.
• Collaborate directly with client accounts throughout their lifecycle, including negotiating contracts, deploying services, and exploring up-sell/cross-sell opportunities.
• Provide insights on the sales cycle, customer experience, needs, marketing initiatives, industry trends, and competitive challenges.
• Cultivate new business through identifying target accounts, creating demand, developing territories, prospecting, and nurturing leads.
• Maintain a balanced pipeline of opportunities.
• Lead cross-functional teams throughout the sales process.
• Facilitate discovery, qualification, engagement with decision-makers, objection handling, differentiation, presentations, proposals, negotiations, and closing.
• Support servicing plant personnel across Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Customer Care.
• Assist in crafting sales and marketing strategies to attract new customers.
• Stay updated on market trends through trade journals, meetings, and industry networks.
• Anticipate emerging opportunities and devise plans to leverage them.
• Fully utilize Salesforce.com for managing contacts, pipeline, complaints, key events, and documentation.
• Suggest print advertising, trade shows, and other promotional activities to the Director of Business Development.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in sales, marketing, or technical roles.
• A technical sales or engineering background is essential.
• Preferred experience in selling or working with contract manufacturing and flexible, web-based materials.
• High-energy, high-character, entrepreneurial sales professional.
• Exceptional organization, leadership, and presentation skills.
• Passionate, self-motivated, and resourceful; willing to collaborate as part of a small, growing team.
• Capable of self-management and adaptable to change and growth.
• Proven success in selling within a solution-oriented, products and services, long-term contract model.
• Experience as a hunter/demand creator with new accounts and territories.
• Assertive with outstanding communication, relationship-building, and networking abilities.
• Possessing executive presence and political acumen to lead a team-based, complex sales process.
• Comfortable with an aggressive, highly leveraged compensation structure.
• Familiar with a consistent, team-oriented approach and methodology for winning new business.
• Detail-oriented and proficient in Customer Relationship Management (CRM), using Salesforce.com on a daily basis.
• A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a technical field is required.
• Experience working from an established home office.
• Willing to travel 40–60% of the time to client accounts.
• Ability to work on government contracts is essential.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain necessary U.S. Department of State authorizations for ITAR compliance.
