This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Identify and secure high-potential European merchants to enhance the Joom Marketplace assortment, concentrating on sellers capable of generating gross profit.
• Manage the entire merchant acquisition process: prioritize markets and segments, develop sourcing channels, and systematically grow a network of e-commerce contacts.
• Conduct discovery sessions and communicate with prospects and new merchants: understand their needs, present Joom's value proposition, and address objections.
• Oversee negotiations and finalize agreements to establish profitable, long-term partnerships.
• Support new merchants from onboarding to their initial results: guide them through essential steps (listing, commercial terms, logistics/warehousing, documentation) and help them achieve their first sales.
• Gather merchant feedback and convert it into actionable insights for internal teams (identifying obstacles to launch/sales and necessary improvements).
• Monitor merchant/category performance and implement optimization initiatives based on data analysis.
• Experience in Key Account Management, Account Management, Business Development, or seller incubation within e-commerce, marketplaces, or retail.
• Strong understanding of the European e-commerce environment and merchant requirements; an existing network of merchant contacts in Europe is a significant advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate, influence stakeholders, and successfully close deals.
• Hands-on and structured approach to onboarding and incubating merchants, driving them to measurable outcomes (first sales or initial traction).
• Strong analytical capabilities: adept at interpreting performance metrics and making data-driven decisions.
• Fluency in English is required (knowledge of German, French, or Polish is a plus).
• Preferred: background in fashion or retail (e.g., sneakers, apparel); experience with Cainiao, Vignette, Luchan, or EU local warehouses; exposure to China-to-Europe e-commerce (including Chinese candidates residing in Europe).
• Competitive compensation package: base salary complemented by performance-based bonuses.
• Flexible remote work options. Location: ideally remote within Europe; relocation to Lisbon is possible but not mandatory.
• AI-first approach: access to a variety of AI tools and licenses.
• Team & Growth: collaborate with colleagues from Portugal, Brazil, Latvia, and China, with opportunities for promotions, professional development, and English language courses.
• Community & Engagement: enjoy annual team-building activities, knowledge-sharing workshops, and a strong sense of camaraderie.
