This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Develop and implement business development strategies to enhance Molex optical connectivity solutions within the medical sector.
• Cultivate relationships with manufacturers of medical devices and key customers.
• Identify unmet needs, emerging applications, and potential revenue streams.
• Lead consultative engagements with customers, incorporating solution presentations, value propositions, proposals, proof-of-concept initiatives, and commercial negotiations.
• Collaborate with Molex sales teams to progress target accounts and facilitate design-in activities.
• Transform qualified opportunities into profitable income.
• Convert customer and market insights into actionable input for Product Management and Engineering teams.
• Work alongside Marketing on developing target customer profiles, campaigns, industry events, conferences, and market development initiatives.
• Keep track of market, technological, and competitive advancements to fine-tune account priorities and growth strategies.
• Travel approximately 50% to customer sites, Lisle, Illinois, global design centers, manufacturing facilities, and industry events.
• Experience in developing new business or strategic accounts in optical connectivity, photonics, electronic components, medical devices (either electronic or fiber optic), or another technical B2B market.
• Proven experience presenting technical or commercial solutions to customers and business leaders.
• Background in crafting customer value propositions, proposals, or business cases.
• Familiarity with pricing, commercial negotiations, or contract discussions.
• Willingness and capability to travel approximately 50% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a related field.
• Preferred: experience in selling optical connectors, fiber-optic assemblies, or related solutions in medical-device applications.
• Preferred: experience collaborating with product management, engineering, and global sales teams.
• Preferred: experience in developing new markets, applications, or strategic accounts.
• Preferred: experience in product management relating to fiber-optic interconnects or similar connectivity technologies.
• Ability to work from an approved U.S. location.
• Successful drug test may be required, where permissible by state law.
