• Create and implement a growth strategy for the territory that aligns with business goals
• Identify, assess, and convert new customer opportunities
• Establish and maintain a sufficient pipeline to meet annual sales objectives
• Drive demand through customer interactions, networking, referrals, events, and targeted marketing campaigns
• Secure business from new prospects as well as competitor accounts
• Foster relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling
• Enhance customer retention through proactive engagement and management
• Conduct account reviews that focus on growth potential and future customer requirements
• Gain market insights and recognize emerging trends and opportunities for growth
• Build relationships with industry associations, consultants, and key influencers
• Keep precise CRM records and deliver reliable sales forecasts and pipeline reports
• Conduct customer visits, virtual meetings, and presentations
• Create value-based proposals, lead negotiations, and facilitate contract finalization
• Represent DNV during customer meetings, events, and industry gatherings
• Collaborate with Planning, Strategic Accounts, Customer Service, and Technical teams
• Aid in the transition of customers from sales to service delivery
• Contribute to sales initiatives and growth programs
• Share market intelligence and customer insights with colleagues
• Proven experience in business development or consultative sales
• Track record of securing new business and expanding existing accounts
• Strong commercial insight and negotiation capabilities
• Ability to navigate a complex sales pipeline
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
• Self-driven and capable of working independently
• Proficient in using CRM systems and managing sales forecasts
• Background in certification, assurance, testing, inspection, training, or professional services
• Familiarity with management system standards and business improvement practices
• Experience with medium to large enterprise clients
• Established network within relevant industry sectors
