This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and nurture Business Development Representatives to meet sales and profitability goals.
• Set performance standards, objectives, and accountability measures for team members.
• Conduct coaching sessions, ride-alongs, performance evaluations, and developmental training.
• Cultivate a high-performance culture concentrating on customer acquisition, revenue enhancement, and operational excellence.
• Support initiatives for succession planning and talent development.
• Formulate and implement territory growth strategies to boost market share and profitability.
• Identify and seize new business opportunities within designated markets.
• Analyze market trends, competitive activities, customer purchasing behaviors, and pricing strategies.
• Drive customer acquisition and enhance FleetPride’s footprint with existing accounts.
• Collaborate with branch leadership and support teams to optimize customer satisfaction and business outcomes.
• Maintain relationships with key customers and strategic accounts.
• Expand sales across FleetPride’s range of products and services.
• Conduct account reviews and formulate action plans to improve customer penetration.
• Ensure outstanding customer service and swift resolution of customer issues.
• Partner with customers to comprehend business needs and deliver value-oriented solutions.
• Utilize CRM, sales analytics, and reporting tools to oversee sales activities and assess performance.
• Develop and track customer call plans and sales activity metrics.
• Review sales reports, gross profit performance, account growth, and pipeline development.
• Monitor customer payment trends and address collection issues with internal teams.
• Accurately and promptly document customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities.
• Submit call reports, sales forecasts, expense reports, and other necessary documentation.
• Stay informed about product offerings, pricing updates, vendor programs, and market developments.
• Provide monthly updates regarding sales performance, competitive insights, and growth opportunities.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the heavy-duty truck, trailer, aftermarket parts, or transportation industry.
• At least 5 years of successful B2B sales experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of sales leadership or team management experience.
• Proven track record of surpassing sales and gross profit targets.
• Experience managing extensive territories and strategic customer relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Familiarity with CRM and sales management tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% within the assigned territory.
• Overnight travel may be necessary based on business requirements.
• Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for prolonged periods.
• Capability to occasionally lift and move office equipment and materials.
• Regular travel by automobile and/or air may be required.
• Experience with AS400 is a plus.
