This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho, +1 more state.
• Enhance current customer relationships by upselling and cross-selling products and services.
• Discover and target new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and conducting market research.
• Foster and sustain relationships with key customer decision-makers and influencers.
• Work collaboratively with technical teams to pinpoint opportunities for service expansion.
• Identify prospective new customers and formulate strategies for geographic growth.
• Perform market research and analyze industry trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape.
• Create and implement territory-specific sales plans aimed at achieving growth targets.
• Collaborate with Regional Account Managers and Business Development Managers on strategic initiatives.
• Maintain a detailed customer database that includes contact details, sales history, and preferences.
• Deliver presentations and product demonstrations.
• Provide outstanding customer service and function as a trusted advisor.
• Engage with customers to evaluate satisfaction, identify areas for improvement, and address any concerns.
• Participate in tradeshows, conferences, and networking events.
• Work with Facilities Coordinators on local business development initiatives.
• Assist in the creation of marketing materials, presentations, and proposals.
• Establish sales targets that align with company objectives.
• Monitor sales performance and report on progress, achievements, and challenges to management.
• Utilize CRM tools to track activities, manage leads, and create forecasts.
• Negotiate contracts and finalize deals.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Demonstrated success in sales and business development, with at least seven (7) years of experience in complex solution selling in technology sales and/or selling to public safety agencies.
• Proven experience in developing and executing complex sales strategies that typically require several months to close.
• Strong grasp of sales principles, techniques, and strategies.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Capable of developing and nurturing effective relationships with customers at all levels.
• Self-driven, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the capability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
• Proficient in CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel extensively (50% or more) to engage with customers and participate in industry events.
