Business Development Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Propel business expansion by managing a designated sales territory.

• Establish and nurture robust customer relationships.

• Identify new sales opportunities and achieve territory sales objectives.

• Deliver technical customer service, clinical assistance, and product education.

• Enhance and sustain current business through competitive conversions and market share increases.

• Achieve annual sales targets and relevant sales metrics.

• Keep precise and current CRM records, including customer contacts, appointments, and call notes.

• Create and present an annual territory business plan along with quarterly business review updates to the Regional Sales Manager, Director of Sales, and other pertinent stakeholders.

• Prepare and execute technical presentations and demonstrations.

• Assess territory performance against sales projections, budgets, new accounts, discount levels, and gross margins; implement corrective measures as needed.

• Ensure all territory sales activities adhere to company policies and procedures.

• Educate in-house staff and customers on company products and services.

• Collaborate with the Marketing team at conferences, trade shows, seminars, and workshops, including the creation and delivery of presentation materials.


⛳️ Requirements

• A relevant post-secondary degree is mandatory.

• Formal education in hearing care (Audiology, HIS) is essential.

• At least 5 years of sales experience, preferably in a healthcare or hearing aid clinic environment.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities to engage with customers.

• Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and organizational skills complemented by technical aptitude.

• Capability to represent the company in a professional and courteous manner.

• Frequent travel (50% - 70%) within the territory and occasionally to Canada or internationally.

• Proficient in CRM (Salesforce.com), Excel, and PowerPoint software.

• Ability to operate effectively in a complex environment with a variety of tasks (sales, training, tech support, telephone support, etc.).

• Must possess a reliable vehicle (maximum 6 years old) and hold a valid driver’s license.
