This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +4 more states.
• Cultivate and enhance relationships with accounts within the designated Midwest territory.
• Meet sales targets and achieve the objectives set for strategic accounts.
• Formulate and implement penetration strategies that align with the company’s overarching sales strategy.
• Foster and advance long-term partnerships with travel associates.
• Oversee travel partner relationships, establishing and reaching growth objectives through consistent communication and innovative sales outreach.
• Maintain comprehensive product knowledge and stay informed about the marketplace, competitors, economic trends, and industry developments.
• Utilize technology and social media platforms for training purposes and brand promotion.
• Effectively manage time to create opportunities for revenue generation that supports regional growth.
• Address customer requirements and ensure prompt processing of paperwork.
• Assess the ROI of trade shows and consumer events, participating when deemed beneficial.
• Ensure the effective utilization, inventory management, and distribution of marketing materials.
• Employ company CRM tools to maintain the territory database, log sales activities, share production reports, and handle email communications.
• Coordinate and oversee marketing campaigns executed by travel partners.
• Administer the sales and cooperative marketing budget within established parameters.
• Attend and contribute to national or regional sales meetings.
• Provide biweekly competitive-environment reports to the Business Center Leader.
• Submit timely expense reports with all necessary documentation.
• Perform related job functions as required.
• Travel at least 50% of the time by plane and car for meetings, trade shows, supplier events, company meetings, and training sessions.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required.
• 5+ years of experience, ideally in travel or hospitality sales.
• Outstanding technical and interpersonal skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a high level of innovation and strategic market/product planning capabilities.
• Strong follow-up and integrative skills.
• A collaborative team player who is resourceful and possesses the self-confidence to drive product business.
• Creative thinker capable of approaching challenges outside of industry norms.
• Personal Lines or Property/Casualty License preferred but not mandatory.
• Established, strong relationships with key travel partners are advantageous.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required.
• Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time by car, plane, and/or train.
