This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop, maintain, and service a specific portfolio of travel agency accounts within the Southern California region.
• Sustain and enhance relationships with travel agencies in the designated territory.
• Design and execute local and national marketing and promotional initiatives aimed at achieving sales objectives for the territory.
• Formulate marketing plans, strategies, and initiatives to drive revenue growth within agencies.
• Investigate and identify new revenue opportunities within assigned accounts.
• Generate and implement marketing concepts and sales strategies that promote the growth of travel agencies.
• Address travel agency concerns utilizing knowledge of company offerings, services, and headquarters sales support.
• Plan, create, and implement annual sales and marketing plans for high-performing accounts.
• Evaluate sales plans, account performance, promotional activities, and ROI monthly, making necessary adjustments.
• Create strategic and tactical plans based on existing data and reports to meet revenue goals for the territory.
• Execute local and national marketing incentive programs.
• Conduct daily sales outreach through in-person visits, Zoom meetings, webinars, phone calls, group meetings, metro meetings, and social media.
• Develop and implement promotional programs and supply promotional materials to travel agents.
• Oversee travel, marketing, supplies, advertising, and promotional budgets; review and report expenses on a monthly basis.
• Negotiate sales plans and group contracts.
• Provide support for key accounts, strategic initiatives, and national promotions/events.
• Analyze account sales and marketing plans along with ROI, making adjustments post-initiative.
• Conduct seminars, webinars, familiarization cruises, ship tours, training sessions, cruise events, trade shows, and consumer shows.
• Execute other assigned job-related tasks.
• Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of sales or account management experience, ideally in the travel sector.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with Zoom and GoToMeeting platforms.
• Ability to establish personal credibility through product expertise, service knowledge, procedural understanding, consistent follow-up, and effective problem-solving.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with agency owners, marketing professionals, and front-line travel advisors.
• Proven capability to implement contracts utilizing negotiation and presentation skills effectively.
• Creative aptitude for developing a personal brand for selling cruise vacations and nurturing relationships.
• Flexibility to adjust to a rapidly changing sales environment and shift priorities as needed.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret revenue outcomes and manage budgeting and forecasting.
• Competence in preparing and analyzing cost of sales results.
• Effective time management abilities to work independently and achieve sales targets.
• Solid business acumen and comprehension of profitability dynamics.
• Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends.
• Capacity to bend and lift up to 30 lbs., with reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and conduct walking tours for clients onboard vessels, with reasonable accommodations.
