Business Development Lead – US Commercial Landscaping

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belize, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop and manage a commercial maintenance sales engine for a landscaping company.

• Create targeted prospect lists based on property type, location, ownership group, and management company.

• Identify commercial properties suitable for maintenance contracts.

• Research property managers, owners, facility managers, HOA boards, asset managers, and other key decision-makers.

• Gather contact information and monitor existing vendors, contract renewals, RFPs, bid opportunities, and public notices.

• Input clean and accurate prospect information into the CRM or tracking system.

• Send outbound communications, coordinate follow-up calls, track touchpoints, and develop multi-touch outreach sequences.

• Maintain engagement with prospects prior to bid season and reconnect with previous prospects.

• Follow up post-quote and advance opportunities through the sales pipeline.

• Record quote requests, verify property details, collect photos, maps, measurements, notes, service scope, and client expectations.

• Collaborate with onsite sales, estimators, field leadership, and cold callers to generate and submit proposals within 72 hours whenever feasible.

• Track proposals until delivery and arrange for follow-up afterward.

• Identify suitable properties for proactive cold quotes and organize cold quote packages, drop-offs, and site visits.

• Coordinate with the onsite team to provide property lists, call/drop-off notes, and track site visits.

• Update prospects, contacts, properties, notes, next steps, follow-up dates, outreach activities, quotes, proposals, bid cycles, and deal statuses in the CRM.

• Prepare weekly sales pipeline reports, highlight stalled opportunities, and identify effective property types, messages, and lead sources.

• Achieve ambitious weekly activity targets, encompassing prospect research, qualified prospects, decision makers, outbound touches, follow-ups, quote opportunities, and cold quote packages.

• Establish a repeatable outbound follow-up system and a scalable commercial maintenance sales pipeline.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of total professional experience.

• More than 5 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, outbound prospecting, lead generation, appointment setting, sales development, or account development.

• At least 3 years of experience selling to, researching, or supporting U.S.-based businesses or clients.

• A minimum of 3 years in commercial landscaping, property management, facility services, construction, field services, janitorial, pest control, security, exterior services, or another service-based B2B industry.

• Over 2 years in a role with weekly outbound activity targets.

• Proven track record of managing over 100 outbound sales touches each week.

• Demonstrated ability to build prospect lists of 500+ contacts or companies.

• Proven experience in identifying decision makers across various companies or properties.

• Familiarity with using a CRM, spreadsheet, or sales pipeline system to monitor prospects, follow-ups, quotes, and deal status.

• Strong written and spoken English at a professional business level.

• Comfortable making calls, sending cold emails, utilizing LinkedIn, and following up consistently.

• Proficient in coordinating with remote and onsite sales, estimating, and field teams.

• Ability to work during core U.S. business hours.

• Capable of managing high-volume prospecting independently.

• Commercially savvy enough to understand property types, decision makers, contracts, bid cycles, and proposal follow-up.

• Preferred: Direct experience in commercial landscaping sales, estimating support, or maintenance contract sales.

• Preferred: Experience selling or supporting recurring maintenance contracts.

• Preferred: Experience working with property managers, HOAs, multifamily properties, retail centers, office parks, or commercial real estate groups.

• Preferred: Experience in researching property ownership and management contacts.

• Preferred: Experience with cold email campaigns or outbound sales sequences.

• Preferred: Experience coordinating proposals or estimates.

• Preferred: Familiarity with tools such as Google Maps, county property records, property management websites, LinkedIn, Apollo, ZoomInfo, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Monday.com, ClickUp, or similar platforms.

• Preferred: Experience supporting outside sales representatives or field sales teams.

• Preferred: Experience in developing a sales process from the ground up.

• Preferred: Experience in tracking renewal dates, bid windows, RFPs, or contract cycles.
