This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with Fortiva leadership to influence and shape business strategy, growth objectives, and market expansion for feed additive solutions.
• Manage and expand a portfolio of B2B clients and influencers, including feed mills, premix partners, integrators, consulting nutritionists, and key opinion leaders.
• Create business cases for new projects, partnerships, and market opportunities.
• Convert insights from customers, market trends, competition, regulations, and technical aspects into strategic recommendations, project charters, launch priorities, positioning, and execution plans.
• Facilitate commercial alignment among technical services, marketing, operations, supply chain, R&D, and sales teams.
• Establish relationships with academics, research organizations, industry partners, and other stakeholders.
• Spearhead the ideation, development, alignment, and initiation of project charters into the R&D pipeline.
• Oversee project charters throughout the pipeline, including resource allocation, milestones, KPIs, and stakeholder alignment.
• Identify, pursue, and finalize direct-sales opportunities for priority swine feed additive products and programs.
• Conduct customer discovery, needs assessments, solution designs, and value quantification.
• Prepare and present customer proposals, coordinate order execution, support onboarding, and identify renewal or expansion opportunities.
• Manage high-value strategic accounts and maintain trusted relationships with customers, influencers, and partners.
• Mentor and coach sales and account team members in value selling, technical-to-economic messaging, consultative selling, and opportunity management.
• Provide training on product differentiation, objection handling, CRM, and customer engagement.
• Conduct joint customer calls and offer actionable feedback.
• Share best practices, playbooks, account planning tools, trial protocols, and ROI resources.
• Lead through influence across teams to align market needs, technical insights, and commercial priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Dairy Science, Business, Agriculture, or a related discipline.
• Over 10 years of experience in feed additives, animal health, livestock sales, strategic account management, business development, or a comparable commercial role.
• Proven track record of success in managing large accounts, working in nutritionist-led sales environments, and engaging with B2B customers, influencers, or integrated livestock production systems.
• Strong business acumen with experience in developing business cases, shaping growth strategies, and translating customer or market insights into commercial actions.
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and lead collaborative efforts without direct authority.
• Experience managing complex customer relationships, commercial opportunities, and strategic projects from inception to execution.
• Willingness to travel 50 to 80% of the time.
• Preferred: Advanced degree, including a master’s degree or PhD, in Animal Science, Dairy Science, Nutrition, Business, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Preferred: Direct experience with large-scale livestock operations, commercial feedyards, or significant strategic swine accounts.
• Preferred: In-depth understanding of livestock production systems, feed additive value propositions, performance metrics, and economic drivers.
• Preferred: Experience in ration formulation, additive inclusion strategies, product trials, launch planning, or translating technical value into commercial terms.
