This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.
• Create resource mobilization strategies that are in line with CRS' agency strategy for global opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with donors while developing strategies for donor engagement.
• Assist in the planning of resource mobilization for global opportunities.
• Work together with regional, country, technical, and operations teams on positioning, capture planning, proposal coordination, writing, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
• Conduct research and analyze funding trends along with new business opportunities.
• Utilize data to enhance CRS' competitive edge.
• Oversee the management of past performance and corporate capacity information.
• Keep track of the global business pipeline and performance data in CRS' online systems.
• Act as a representative for CRS at industry conferences and working groups.
• Lead the development of the agency's business development strategy and manage the opportunity pipeline.
• Function as the proposal coordinator, lead writer, or budget lead for key bids.
• Engage in the BD Strategy and Action Room and participate in global pipeline reviews.
• Guide Go/No-Go decisions during the capture and proposal preparation phases.
• Facilitate partner identification, consortia negotiations, and reviews of teaming agreements.
• Lead proposal review panels and compile feedback effectively.
• Conduct due diligence reviews to ensure alignment with donor strategies and intelligence.
• Enhance CRS' business development processes, disseminate best practices, build staff capacity, and contribute to the Global Business Development Community of Practice.
• Bachelor’s Degree in International Development, International Relations, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in international development.
• Highly desirable strong budgeting skills and experience in leading strategic and competitive cost proposals.
• Exceptional writing skills with proven experience in crafting successful proposals.
• Strong strategic, analytical, systems thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent relationship management skills.
• Familiarity with institutional donors, including US Government agencies, FDCO, Global Fund, EU, UN, foundations, and corporations, along with their regulations, policies, procedures, and priorities.
• Comprehensive understanding of donor technical and cost requirements.
• Outstanding negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Knowledge of CRS programs, the justice agenda, and the principles of Catholic Social Teaching.
• Proficient in using MS Windows, MS Office, information management systems, and AI tools.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Working proficiency in French and/or Spanish is highly desirable.
• Must be willing and able to travel up to 35% of the time.
• Ability to legally work in the location where the position is based.
