This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Lead strategic business development efforts within a specified geographic region.
• Assess the designated territory and prioritize target accounts alongside regional and divisional sales leaders.
• Create and implement an annual business plan to enhance Victaulic’s specification standing.
• Execute a market box strategy that includes master specifications, project specifications, and owner guidelines.
• Increase Victaulic’s presence among owner, engineer, and general contractor accounts.
• Develop and reinforce owner guidelines, master specifications, and project specifications.
• Utilize Salesforce to document, share, and collaborate on account and project information.
• Coordinate project transitions with the commercial sales team.
• Acquire expertise in product features, account influences, applications, technical terminology, material science, specifications, and competitive offerings.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and prospects.
• Track market trends and competitor activities.
• Employ strategic social engineering to strengthen relationships and collect market intelligence.
• Participate with local trade organizations and professional associations.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or construction management is highly preferred.
• Prior sales experience, preferably in the commercial construction industry or engineering sectors.
• Demonstrated success in business development, sales, and account management, meeting targets and handling complex sales.
• Established relationships with owner groups in healthcare, higher education, and airports within the region.
• Knowledge of HVAC piping system solutions.
• Established relationships with owner groups.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds.
• Willingness to travel overnight as necessary for the role and territory.
• Engineering skills in writing and developing design specifications are a plus.
• Strong project management and communication abilities.
• Capacity to work in a virtual environment with minimal supervision.
