This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Assist in the development and execution of territory and account strategies aimed at boosting sales growth within designated accounts and prospects.
• Implement business strategies along with annual marketing and business plans.
• Project sales figures and provide insights on marketing, competition, and customer satisfaction.
• Drive profitable growth and meet or surpass Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets.
• Secure new products, service expansions, and enhance existing biotech account relationships.
• Engage in consultative selling throughout the entire sales cycle, from outreach to negotiation and contract finalization.
• Aid in the development and closure of commercial opportunities, quotes, and contracts.
• Identify and act on opportunities within assigned accounts and prospects.
• Generate demand by aligning solutions with customer needs and challenges.
• Implement territory sales plans and support territory growth goals.
• Build and sustain a robust, actionable sales pipeline.
• Maintain precise forecasting and adherence to Salesforce discipline.
• Cultivate relationships with customer stakeholders, understanding their structures, decision-makers, and industry trends.
• Articulate Thermo Fisher’s value proposition as an integrated solutions partner.
• Monitor competitive activities and adjust strategies to counter potential threats.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), operations, finance, and legal teams.
• Participate in customer meetings, events, and site visits.
• Advocate for customer experience and provide feedback to enhance customer experience and internal processes.
• Work together with internal stakeholders to meet customer needs and sales goals.
• 5-8 years of experience in field sales or business development with a quota-carrying responsibility.
• Essential prior experience in sales, deal design, and relationship management.
• Familiarity with sales in a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) and in one or more drug modalities: Steriles, Solid Dosage, Biologics, Cell and Gene Therapy, Viral Vector, and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API).
• Strong analytical abilities, including financial acumen.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with both customers and internal stakeholders.
• Experience in managing sales opportunities and customer relationships within a matrixed environment.
• Proven track record of advancing opportunities through a consultative sales approach.
• Strong commercial insight with experience in shaping solutions and influencing deal results.
• Confident communicator with an executive presence and proficient negotiation skills.
• Highly competitive, self-motivated, and results-oriented mindset.
• Ability to operate effectively under urgency, ambiguity, and limited structure.
• Willingness to travel up to 50 percent.
• Bachelor’s degree in a Life Sciences field is mandatory.
