This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Identify and seek out new business prospects, including expansion into diverse markets and sectors.
• Establish and nurture relationships with both existing and prospective clients, gaining insight into their needs and offering value-added solutions.
• Collaborate with teams across marketing, product development, operations, engineering, sales operations, estimating, and management.
• Conduct analysis of market trends, competitive environments, customer feedback, industry advancements, regulations, and best practices.
• Cultivate customer and industry insights, including projections for 1-, 3-, and 5-year industry trends.
• Formulate and implement customer engagement strategies to promote additional products and services across various customer divisions.
• Establish strategic objectives and tactical plans aimed at driving considerable growth.
• Engage directly with customers on-site to secure additional business opportunities.
• Collaborate with customer engineers and purchasing departments to ascertain product and design specifications.
• Oversee the design and development of customer solutions in partnership with Boyd Engineering.
• Showcase products and solutions utilizing prototypes, samples, and marketing materials.
• Articulate Boyd’s value propositions by leveraging knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Manage the quotation process, encompassing technical reviews, information gathering, pricing, revenue, and gross margin considerations.
• Oversee projects from inception through implementation to ensure alignment with customer milestones and production timelines.
• Handle commercial customer matters, including agreements, negotiations, payments, credit, shipping terms, and legal requirements.
• Address special customer requests or complaints promptly.
• Utilize Salesforce CRM on a daily basis to document opportunities, customer insights, successes, and challenges.
• Maintain transparent communication regarding opportunities and current status with colleagues and management.
• Report directly to the VP of Sales.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a technical sales role.
• Demonstrated success in the manufacturing industry.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven capability to build rapport and negotiate successfully with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with a results-driven approach focused on fostering business growth.
• Established ability to develop and implement sales strategies, including market analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Experience with CRM software and other sales tools is essential.
• Must currently reside in the Texas region.
• No employment immigration sponsorship or support will be required now or in the future.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time, including international travel.

• Interaction with senior leaders within the Thermal CDU, Data Center, or A&D sectors.
