This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Collaborate across AECOM’s energy division and various business lines to provide integrated solutions for thermal generation energy projects.
• Inspire and oversee multidisciplinary teams to achieve excellence in project delivery and client satisfaction.
• Represent AECOM at industry forums and influence power delivery and generation strategies.
• Identify business development opportunities, lead initiatives, and create successful proposals.
• Establish relationships with utilities, data center developers, high-tech clients, and stakeholders.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance AECOM’s market presence in thermal power generation.
• Offer subject matter expertise for the design, development, and implementation of natural gas power plants and substations.
• Support project teams with fast-paced projects, ensuring timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality delivery.
• Tackle technical challenges using AECOM’s global expertise.
• Enhance technical capabilities and promote continuous improvement within the energy division.
• Collaborate with Buildings + Places and Environment business lines to create comprehensive client solutions.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Lead a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Develop and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and performance reports.
• BA/BA and 10 years of relevant experience focused on natural gas power plants, or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience.
• 10 years of experience and success in leading pursuits, managing client relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving business growth.
• Knowledge of energy requirements for data centers, including aspects of reliability, scalability, and sustainability.
• Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Strong leadership abilities with a talent for inspiring and motivating diverse teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strategic, proactive, and results-driven mindset.
• Experience in business development, specifically in leading pursuits and proposals.
• Capability to identify market opportunities and formulate strategies.
• Solid understanding of financial metrics and project economics.
