This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead business development and client relationship initiatives throughout Clinigen.
• Establish and enhance strategic partnerships that drive company growth.
• Generate new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical services sector and independently source new accounts within pharma and biotech.
• Design and implement business development strategies for both target and existing clients, aligned with divisional financial objectives.
• Meet individual targets for sales, revenue, gross profit, and growth as agreed upon with the relevant SVP, VP, or their delegates.
• Utilize networks, referrals, cold-calling, and proactive prospecting techniques to create new business leads.
• Develop and maintain a strong, self-generated opportunity pipeline in Salesforce/CRM.
• Identify, profile, and research potential clients through industry news, trends, and competitor analysis.
• Create target lists with account/action plans and strategic priorities.
• Comprehend clients' development strategies and convert them into value-added solutions.
• Present capability and solutions-based presentations while coordinating and participating in client and prospect sales meetings.
• Negotiate contracts, budgets, and terms, including CDAs/MSAs, while maximizing profitability.
• Work collaboratively with senior members of the Clinigen team to expand networks and identify client contact opportunities.
• Provide transparency to the wider team regarding resource implications for leads progressing through the business development process.
• Cultivate strong, long-lasting client relationships, positioning Clinigen as the preferred partner for each client through high service standards and ethical solutions.
• Over 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology sectors.
• More than 5 years of sales experience.
• A degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven track record of meeting or surpassing sales quotas, primarily through self-sourced new business acquisition.
• A hunter mentality with an entrepreneurial and innovative approach to business development in a pharmaceutical services context.
• Self-motivated, competitive, resilient in the face of rejection, and dedicated to identifying and closing new business opportunities.
• Capability to work independently.
• Deep understanding of Clinical Supplies, Marketing, Sales, and Business Development principles and processes.
• Competence in targeting, selling, and developing business across various levels within large, mid-sized, and emerging pharmaceutical organizations.
• Ability to actively pursue assignments, assess situations, adapt to changes, and make timely decisions.
• Proficient in building effective working relationships at all levels, both internally and externally, to influence others and encourage cooperation.
