This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Drive sales within the designated territory to achieve the annual sales target.
• Oversee the entire sales process from pipeline creation to closing and transitioning to implementation.
• Build and enhance relationships with brokers and consultants within the assigned territory.
• Pursue new broker partnerships to ensure a robust opportunity pipeline.
• Provide education to brokers and clients regarding COBRA, Compliance, CDH, and Leave/FMLA.
• Assess client requirements, propose and present benefit administration solutions, negotiate proposal terms, and secure stakeholder approval.
• Stay informed on IRS Code and employee benefits to effectively address inquiries.
• Address questions and requests from clients, brokers, and Account Managers.
• Identify industry developments impacting the business and offer solutions to management.
• Investigate technical and legal inquiries using both internal and external legal resources.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging of value propositions.
• Keep accurate records of outreach, meetings, pipeline, and sales activities in Dynamics365 CRM.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth transition for new clients.
• Engage with brokers, participate in conferences and events, and attend the annual sales meeting.
• Report directly to the CEO.
• Candidates must reside in Massachusetts, ideally in or near Boston; applicants from neighboring cities or states may also be considered.
• A minimum of seven to ten years of experience in a related field is required, including benefits administration, health and welfare benefits, third-party administration, HR, or account management.
• Proven track record of consistent sales success, preferably in the health and welfare benefits industry or a related field.
• Strong existing connections with health insurance brokers, third-party administrators, or health insurance carriers.
• Demonstrated sales and business acumen with effective networking and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and present to various levels within internal and external organizations.
• Outstanding presentation and writing capabilities.
• Ability to apply independent judgment and expertise to foster, maintain, and expand broker relationships.
• Self-driven “hunter” mentality with a strong desire for personal and professional advancement.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred.
• Understanding the significance of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Knowledge of COBRA, Compliance, CDH, Leave/FMLA, IRS Code, ERISA, and other relevant regulations.
• Proficient in Dynamics365 CRM, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Willingness to travel frequently by car and airplane.
• Ability to communicate accurate information clearly.
