This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Develop and implement strategic account plans and partnerships within larger, more complex accounts.
β’ Gather competitive insights and pinpoint opportunities across different business units.
β’ Collaborate with Client Services to aid in pricing, margin, and deal-structure decisions.
β’ Work together with various business units to identify, position, and secure multi-unit opportunities.
β’ Engage in corporate account teams to enhance key client relationships.
β’ Meet or surpass annual sales objectives for assigned accounts.
β’ Establish, nurture, and manage client relationships at the appropriate decision-making levels.
β’ Implement client call strategies, follow up on leads, and support an existing client base.
β’ Articulate the business unit's capabilities and unique value proposition.
β’ Oversee the opportunity pipeline, forecasting, and necessary territory documentation.
β’ Set and manage customer expectations to enhance satisfaction and retention.
β’ Lead client presentations, assist in proposal development, and host client visits.
β’ Provide regular updates on sales activities to management.
β’ Perform additional duties as required or assigned.
β’ Bachelor's degree or a comparable and relevant formal academic qualification.
β’ Fortrea may accept relevant and equivalent experience in place of educational requirements.
β’ Proven track record of acquiring, retaining, and expanding a strategic client portfolio, achieving sustained revenue growth.
β’ Demonstrated expertise in strategic selling, negotiation, executive presentations, and financial/business acumen.
β’ Developing understanding of business strategy with the ability to translate that strategy into measurable commercial outcomes.
β’ Practical knowledge of drug discovery and development principles to strategically identify, qualify, and advance leads.
β’ Strong capabilities in customer relationship management and commercial judgment.
β’ Excellent negotiation skills, with hands-on experience negotiating face-to-face with major clients to achieve mutually beneficial results.
β’ Proven executive presence with the ability to influence senior client stakeholders and internal leaders.
β’ Demonstrated organizational agility and consistent achievement of results within a matrixed environment.
β’ Frequent travel is necessary based on business requirements.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development within the Clinical Research, Pharma, or Biotech sectors, selling services directly to pharmaceutical and biotech clients.
β’ At least 4 years of experience engaging directly with mid-level and executive-level decision-makers.
β’ Proven history of meeting significant sales targets.
β’ Flexibility to attend meetings across different time zones outside of standard working hours.
β’ Occasionally required to work extended hours to meet client deliverable deadlines or attend client meetings.
β’ Willingness to travel up to 50%.
