This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Achieve sales targets and annual plans for designated accounts and/or territories.
• Build, maintain, and enhance client relationships at the appropriate levels.
• Lead client meetings, including proposal Bid Defense and capability presentations.
• Conduct client visits and meetings.
• Leverage tools and available information to identify and prioritize clients within assigned accounts/territories.
• Collaborate with sales team members, subject matter experts, operational partners, and executives from other Labcorp divisions to secure multi-unit projects.
• Create account plans and establish partnerships with key accounts.
• Set and manage customer expectations effectively.
• Oversee opportunity pipelines and ensure accurate sales forecasting.
• Provide weekly activity reports to management.
• Develop client call cycles, follow up on leads, and implement sales strategies.
• Utilize Salesforce to document customer information, visits, account plans, and decisions.
• Offer pricing feedback and competitive intelligence to enhance margins and achieve target win rates.
• Assess client RFIs, RFPs, proposals, and budgets, providing insights to meet both client and company needs.
• Promote Labcorp Environmental, Human Safety, and related services to Crop Protection and Chemical market segments.
• Enhance customer experience, satisfaction, and U.S. CPC business growth in Crop, Chemical, and Food Improvement market segments.
• Maintain regular daily communication with internal departments and clients, along with weekly meetings with management.
• Travel 40–50% for conferences, client visits, and Labcorp laboratory sites.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5 years of sales experience in selling scientific products/services directly to the Crop Protection and Chemical or pharmaceutical and biotech sectors, with direct interaction with mid-level and executive decision-makers.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 4 years in a true “hunter” business development or sales role, with direct accountability for prospecting, developing new business opportunities, acquiring new customers, and advancing opportunities through the sales cycle.
• At least 1 year of experience using CRM platforms, including Salesforce or similar systems, for managing customer relationships, opportunities, pipeline activities, and sales forecasting.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience using AI-driven sales tools and technologies to assist in prospecting, lead identification and prioritization, customer engagement, and sales effectiveness.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent client engagement, retention, and customer advocacy skills.
• Ability to utilize market and industry knowledge to recognize and seize sales growth opportunities.
• Familiarity with the crop protection and chemical industry.
• Competence in managing challenging client and/or financial situations effectively.
• Ability to clearly articulate and differentiate Labcorp’s value proposition from competitors.
• Proven ability to foster strong working relationships with internal management and site leadership.
