This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.
• Formulate and implement business development and market advancement strategies that align with the organization's goals.
• Identify, qualify, and pursue new business prospects within designated markets and accounts.
• Foster and sustain relationships with surgeons, hospital executives, healthcare systems, distributors, and other essential stakeholders.
• Evaluate customer requirements and propose solutions that enhance the value of Medtronic’s offerings.
• Perform market, customer, and competitive assessments to uncover trends, risks, and growth potential.
• Create strategies for accounts and opportunities, which include stakeholder mapping, value propositions, and action plans.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, clinical, medical education, finance, contracting, and other cross-functional teams.
• Relay customer insights, competitive intelligence, and product feedback to internal stakeholders.
• Assist in product launches, customer education, demonstrations, workshops, and strategic business initiatives.
• Monitor opportunity pipelines, activities, and outcomes; provide updates and suggestions to leadership.
• Ensure adherence to Medtronic policies, quality systems, relevant regulations, and ethical business practices.
• Travel as necessary to support customers, field teams, meetings, and business objectives.
• High school diploma or equivalent with 12+ years of pertinent sales, clinical, or related experience; or Associate’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience; or Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of applicable experience.
• Relevant experience in medical devices, medtech, healthcare, life sciences, business development, or complex solution selling.
• Proven ability to cultivate relationships, identify opportunities, and influence decisions across complex customer landscapes.
• Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to operate independently while effectively collaborating in a matrixed organization.
• Willingness and capacity to travel as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance policy required.
• Preferred experience with spine, cranial, biologics, enabling technologies, robotics, navigation, imaging, or related surgical technologies.
• Experience collaborating with hospitals, integrated delivery networks, health systems, or large strategic accounts is preferred.
• Established connections with healthcare professionals and executive-level clients are preferred.
• Experience in developing market strategies, business cases, or customer value propositions is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and experience utilizing data to inform business decisions are preferred.
• For degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that meets the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is necessary.
